Paris France - Escorted Tours

SAMPLE ITINERARY:

Leave the US on MONDAY night for Paris. Arriving in Paris on TUESDAY, you will be met by your escort, who will transport you by private transport to your beautiful and charming hotel on Paris famous "Rive Gauche" (Left Bank) either in the St. Germain area or along the Seine River overlooking the Louvre. Your hotel will feature either two twin beds or one double bed with full, modern bathroom, and continental or buffet breakfast every morning.

After lunch, well take an "overview" tour of Paris in your private transport to give you an initial look at this lovely city, or a short walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and lunch in a lovely cafe by the Seine.

That evening, a "welcome" dinner will be held at the famous "LE PROCOPE" restaurant, located in the famous "St. Germain des Pres" area of Paris. Then early to bed to help you acclimate quickly to French time. (Eastern US time + 6 hours).

Visits to :

Dinner at a fun local "Montmartre" restaurant or famous seafood place.

THURSDAY

Off to Versailles, by private transport, for the afternoon: the Palace, Gardens, and Grand Trianon

FRIDAY

Drive, by private transport, into Normandy, through quaint little towns to Giverny, home of the famous painter Claude Monet. Visit to his home, studio, and world famous gardens. Lunch in Giverny.

Visit to Fontainebleau, or the Cathedral of Chartres (destination depends on weather & time of year)
Dinner that evening in another wonderful Paris restaurant.

SATURDAY

On you own today. Suggested itinerary is to visit the Musee d'Orsay, home of the impressionists, followed by a walk through the Tuileries to the famous shopping streets including Rue de Rivoli and Champs Elysees. Museum Visits with your own tour-guide available. Or, enjoy a day of shopping!! We will indicate to you the best places to shop, and provide you with detailed instructions and directions! You are now 'veterans' of Paris and will enjoy the adventure of discovering it on your own!!

Saturday evening is 'risque' night!! We go to the famous LIDO Cabaret, on the Champs Elysees, where we will have dinner created by one of France's top chefs....and see the celebrated LIDO cabaret spectacle...dancers (partially nude), magicians, etc. (NOTE: Alternate plans may be made if you do not wish to attend this particular type of spectacle)

SUNDAY

On your own. Suggested itinerary is a morning mass with music at Notre Dame, the Ste. Chapelle, a visit to the Louvre, and a walk up the Champs Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe. Dinner is on your own.

MONDAY

Your escort will meet you at the hotel, return you to the airport via private transport for your return back to the States.
